The Marketing Program Manager (MPM) will be responsible for driving all marketing activities for a multimillion dollar B2B business. The MPM helps the marketing team balance day-to-day marketing activities with more strategic efforts, securing and allocating resources to deliver on marketing KPIs.   

A successful MPM will build effective partnerships with internal and external resources to drive exceptional results for both established and new service offerings. The ability to zoom out to the big picture without losing sight of the daily details is key. Our ideal MPM has strong communication skills and blends adaptability with an unwavering commitment to Agile ways of working. 

Reporting directly to our co-founder and President, this role represents an amazing opportunity to help propel a successful high-growth start-up to a whole new level.

What You'll Do

  • Drive scoping, resourcing, and project plans for quarterly marketing campaigns
  • Execute “always on” marketing activities like content creation, email marketing, and social media and blend them into larger strategic marketing efforts
  • Integrate ABM and outbound marketing into existing high-performing inbound marketing efforts
  • Work with executive team to develop project roadmaps and forecasts
  • Liaise with core team and freelancers to ensure work is in line with strategy, brand voice, and project requirements
  • Use expertise in project management and facilitation to keep all contributors aligned on priorities and tracking through all phases of delivery
  • Escalate issues to ensure work is delivered on time
  • Employ exceptional written and verbal communication skills to communicate business results and priorities to stakeholders at all levels
  • Proactively integrate a wide variety of work into Agile processes
  • Develop go to market strategies for new products and services that encompass multiple channels and vendors, then oversee and report on the impact these strategies are having
  • Document new personas and customer journeys, craft new messaging, and develop new channel and event strategies to serve the larger GTM initiative

Outcomes Expected

  • Hit weekly, monthly, and quarterly MQL targets; work closely with the sales team to maintain a high quality of leads
  • Report on marketing performance weekly; provide suggestions for iteration and optimization
  • Maintain project delivery schedule and program launch target
  • Leverage Agile ways of working to deliver early and often

Key Characteristics and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of project or program management expertise
  • 2+ years managing teams
  • Experience working with creative and marketing teams, as well as an understanding of how to get the best output from agencies and freelancers
  • Experience working in an Agile environment, including visualized workflows (kanban boards), daily standups, retrospectives, etc. 
  • Certifications in project management and/or Agile framework(s) are a bonus

About the Role

The MPM will begin as a freelance contract position, with an option for transitioning to a full time position. You’ll be part of a distributed global team that’s mission-driven and Agile to the core. You can learn more about us at AgileSherpas.com.
