4-s1

Why Agility & Agility Drivers

Session 1

Why Agility & Agility Drivers

Session 1

Organizations must transform to develop the new capabilities required to face the challenges of the world we live in today. To be successful with an Agile transformation, organizations and their leaders must focus on establishing the four main drivers of agility: Collaborative Environment, Continuous Adaptation & Engagement, Organizational Learning, and Innovative Culture.

4-s2

Transformational Leadership

Session 2

Transformational Leadership

Session 2

Transformation is continuous and never-ending — there is no end-state, rather the organization is continually improving and evolving. Leaders will self-assess to determine how they might need to change their own behaviors and attitudes to properly serve the needs of 21st-century organizations.

4-s3

Situational Leadership & EQ

Session 3

Situational Leadership & EQ

Session 3

Even though a given leader may have a predominant leadership style, the Agile leader understands the need to expand their range and bring in new styles depending on the situation.

It is essential to bring awareness to the impact of certain leadership styles on the goal of cultivating agility and a culture of innovation.

4-s4

Mindfulness & Mental Models

Session 4

Mindfulness & Mental Models

Session 4

Mindfulness is the ability to focus in the present moment and take in everything that is happening around you and within you, including your own thoughts and feelings. When fully aware, leaders enable themselves to act deliberately in the present moment rather than impulsively, thereby magnifying their efficacy.

4-s5

Prioritizing Transformational Outcomes

Session 5

Prioritizing Transformational Outcomes

Session 5

To paraphrase a famous quote, “what gets measured gets managed.” To be successful in an Agile transformation, leaders must identify and communicate a vision, establish and ensure alignment around goals, prioritize activities around those goals, and then determine the right metrics to measure success effectively.

4-s6

Transformation in Action

Session 6

Transformation in Action

Session 6

Communication skills commonly emphasized in leadership courses imply a one-way exchange, with the intention of making the communication successful enough that it is fully received and accepted.  A conversation, on the other hand, is by definition at least a two-way exchange and is the primary mode of communication for an agile leader. This implies that a variety of points of views will be exchanged and allows for the possibility of a meeting of diverse minds

4-s7

Leading Transformation & Managing Change

Session 7

Leading Transformation & Managing Change

Session 7

Effective Agile leaders need to understand organizations as multi-leveled human systems. People's roles in organizations are complicated by the fact that they simultaneously participate in multiple systems and subsystems. This is why transformation is so complex and takes time, as well as a strong organizational understanding and alignment for leaders to navigate successfully.

4-s8

Backlog Presentations & Action Items

Session 8

Backlog Presentations & Action Items

Session 8

Leaders can only take an organization as far as they themselves are willing to go and must always see themselves as role models for and agents of the transformation they wish to catalyze in the organization. Leave this certification workshop with clear, actionable takeaways for your leadership backlog. Hit the ground running with your team next Monday and start applying your new Agile learnings.

Why Train With AgileSherpas?

In addition to co-authoring the ICAgile curriculum, our Sherpas have worked with more Agile marketers than any other training team in the world. We've seen everything from highly regulated industries like pharma and finance to tricky specialties like in-house creative teams to external marketing agencies.

Through our work with all these marketers, we've seen the impact of marketing leadership, both positive and negative. Well-equipped, self-aware leaders can successfully shepherd a team through the trials of transformation; those who cling to traditional leadership styles struggle to gain the benefits of agility they're after.

This workshop provides marketing leaders with the guidance they need to leave command and control behavior behind and step into the more impactful (and enjoyable) world of Agile leadership. Successful graduates will leave with the tools they need to lead more engaged marketing teams to better outcomes.
